24 Persian Language Learners from 20 Countries Selected for the “Persian Calligraphy Artistry” Course

According to the Public Relations Office of the Saadi Foundation, following the announcement of the call for applications for the “Persian Calligraphy Artistry” course, 171 applicants from various countries registered to participate in the program.

Applicants from Greece, Mexico, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Nigeria, Lebanon, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Japan, Georgia, Türkiye, Venezuela, Afghanistan, India, the Philippines, China, the United States, Kazakhstan, and Tunisia submitted their applications for the course.

Following the review and screening of applications, Iranian applicants residing outside the country and those at the beginner level of Persian were excluded from the selection process, and 114 applicants were identified as meeting the initial eligibility criteria.

In the final stage, after reviewing the applications and consulting with the course instructor, 24 participants from 20 countries were selected.

The “Persian Calligraphy Artistry” course is designed to familiarize non-Persian-speaking learners with the art of beautiful writing and the artistic potential of the Persian script.

In addition to instruction, the course has been designed to showcase and present the students’ artworks. According to the program, the participants’ final works will be compiled and presented as a collection.

The organization of an exhibition featuring the students’ artworks is also planned to coincide with Calligraphy Week at one of the cultural and artistic centers.

At the end of the course, participants will receive certificates of completion.
