Iranian Consul General in Hyderabad Meets Officials of Maulana Azad University’s Persian Language Department

According to the Saadi Foundation’s Public Relations Department, Hamid Ahmadiyeh, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hyderabad, met with Ishtiaq Ahmed, Head of the Persian Language Department at Maulana Azad University, and a number of faculty members to discuss the current state of Persian language education and the university’s educational and research needs.

During the meeting, Ishtiaq Ahmed referred to Maulana Azad University’s need for a Persian language instructor to be dispatched from Iran, stating that despite requests and follow-ups over the past several years, no instructor has so far been sent from Iran to teach Persian at the university.

The Head of the Persian Language Department at Maulana Azad University also expressed his appreciation for the Iranian Consulate General’s attention to Persian language education and the updating of the university’s educational and library resources. He noted that updating these resources would help facilitate the learning process and improve the quality of education and research for students.

Ahmadiyeh, for his part, expressed his appreciation for the activities of the faculty members of Maulana Azad University’s Persian Language Department and emphasized the Iranian Consulate General’s readiness to assist in following up on the dispatch of a Persian language instructor and the updating of the university’s library resources.

Following the meeting, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hyderabad visited the classrooms of Maulana Azad University’s Persian Language Department.

Previously, 85 Persian language books had been donated to the university with the support and coordination of the Iranian Consulate General in Hyderabad. In addition, the educational resources used at the university have been upgraded to the Mina and Tooti series, published by the Saadi Foundation.
