According to the Public Relations Department of the Saadi Foundation, Rasoul Esmaeilzadeh Dozal, Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran and representative of the Saadi Foundation in Kazakhstan, met with Akmaral Tleubayeva, a professor of Persian language and literature at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, to discuss ways to expand Persian language education and strengthen scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Tleubayeva presented a report on the current status of Persian language education and Iranian Studies at Eurasian National University, noting that, in addition to Kazakh students, international students at the university are also interested in learning Persian.

She also provided a report on a recently completed Persian language course and explained the university’s student admission procedures and educational structure.

Tleubayeva further announced that, in cooperation with her students, one of the Persian children’s stories had recently been translated into Russian.

Esmaeilzadeh Dozal, referring to the academic capacities of Eurasian National University, described the institution as a promising center of higher education in Astana for expanding scientific cooperation with Iran.

The Iranian Cultural Counselor and Saadi Foundation representative in Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of strengthening university-level cooperation, facilitating faculty and student exchanges, organizing joint academic meetings, conducting collaborative research projects, and making greater use of the capacities of leading Iranian universities.

Expressing appreciation for the translation of a Persian children’s story into Russian, Esmaeilzadeh Dozal proposed that the work also be translated into Kazakh and published as a book. He noted that such an initiative could help Kazakh children and families become more familiar with Iranian children’s literature.

He also proposed establishing an Association of Iranian Studies Scholars of Kazakhstan, explaining that such an association could bring together professors, researchers, translators, and specialists in Iranian Studies and provide a platform for specialized meetings and discussions on topics related to Iranian culture, literature, history, and Persian language education.

Esmaeilzadeh Dozal also proposed the establishment of an Association of Iranian and Kazakh Poets. He outlined the development of literary cooperation, reciprocal translation of works by poets from the two countries, the organization of poetry evenings and literary gatherings, and the implementation of joint publishing projects as potential objectives of the proposed association.
