According to the Public Relations Office of the Saadi Foundation, Abdolreza Abbasi, Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Foundation’s representative in Turkmenistan, highlighted the distinguished status of Persian-speaking poets in the history of Iranian literature. He stated that the main objective of organizing such programs is to enhance Persian learners’ familiarity with prominent poets and to strengthen their interest in Persian poetry.

Abbasi further noted that holding poetry recitation competitions and awarding prizes to top participants can create greater motivation for learners to continue their studies and pay closer attention to literary works.

During the event, 18 Persian language learners recited poems by Parvin Etesami, Nezami Ganjavi, and Nasir al-Din al-Tusi. At the conclusion of the program, Jahan Kolbayeva, Khadijeh Goldi-Mammadova, and Amina Rajabova were announced as the selected winners of this round.

A separate poetry recitation competition was also held among Persian language teachers, in which Negin Rajabova won the final top honor. At the end of the ceremony, gifts were presented to the winners.
