A professional development course for professors and students of Persian language at Turkmen universities has commenced at Magtymguly Turkmen State University in Ashgabat, in cooperation with the Saadi Foundation.
Professional Development Course for Persian Language Professors and Students in Turkmenistan Begins

According to the Public Relations Office of the Saadi Foundation, the program brings together 55 Persian language professors and students from Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Döwletmämmet Azady Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Teachers’ Training Institute, the International University for the Humanities and Development, and the International University of Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan. The training sessions are conducted by Shahnaz Ahmadi-Qader and Tahmineh Sheikhi, faculty members of the Saadi Foundation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, expressed his appreciation to the Cultural Counselor and the Saadi Foundation’s representative in Ashgabat for organizing the course. He described the presence of Iranian instructors as instrumental in enhancing the academic knowledge and linguistic skills of Turkmen professors and students, and voiced hope that the outcomes of the program would pave the way for expanded academic and scientific cooperation between the two countries.

Abdolreza Abbasi, Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Saadi Foundation’s representative in Turkmenistan, also underlined the importance of the participation of experienced Iranian instructors. He noted that the course plays a significant role in improving the academic standards of professors, teachers, and Persian learners, and can further strengthen cultural and scientific ties between Iran and Turkmenistan. He additionally announced the readiness of the Cultural Office and the Saadi Foundation to organize similar programs in the future.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Orazgeldi Orazov Sapargeldiyev, Rector of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, welcomed the holding of the course and expressed his gratitude to the Iranian Embassy, the Cultural Office, and the Saadi Foundation’s representative office in Turkmenistan for facilitating its organization. He also called on the Iranian instructors to assess and document the level of effort and participation demonstrated by attendees throughout the program.
