Saadi Foundation to Hold Global “Nowruz in Five Words” Campaign
According to the foundation’s public relations office, Persian learners in various countries are required to write a short text in Persian, consisting of three to five sentences, using the five words “Nowruz,” “spring,” “renewal,” “friendship,” and “congratulations.” The use of at least three of these five words in the text is mandatory.
The event secretariat announced that participants, after composing their texts, must read them fluently and accurately and submit a video of their performance. Videos must be no longer than two minutes and recorded in horizontal format. At the beginning of the video, participants are required to introduce their name and country of residence, extend Nowruz greetings and New Year wishes, and then present their prepared text either from memory or by reading it aloud.
Organizers have also emphasized that the submitted videos should visibly feature Nowruz symbols or elements, as well as representations of the participants’ country of residence.
The deadline for submissions has been set for March 12. Interested individuals may submit their entries via http://s1f.ir/noroz1405. Three selected participants will receive awards at the conclusion of the campaign.
