In a bid to further develop the cultural relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iraqi Kurdistan region, Iran’s University of Kurdistan and Iraqi Kurdistan’s Raprin University held the ‘Farsi and Kurdi Languages and Literatures from the Viewpoint of Aryan Mentality and Culture’ in College of Teachers Training of Kurdistan’s Raprin University in Raniyeh City.
Osman Azizi, the head of University of Kurdistan’s dispatched delegation and Movaffaq, the students’ affairs deputy of Raprin University expressing delight over the joint sponsoring of the cultural event believe holding such gatherings can not only lead to scientific growth of both sides, but can also increase the level of academic interactions of the two countries as well.
The students’ affairs deputy of University of Kurdistan said that his affiliated university has been elected by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology as the head of the National Work Group for Harmonizing and Pursuing the Scientific Cooperation between Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
He also announced University of Kurdistan’s readiness for increasing scientific interactions between the Iranian universities and the universities in Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
Then the scientific groups began surveying the various issues they were commissioned to focus on regarding the Farsi and Kurdi languages.
Iranian Cultural Attaché to Iraq, Hojjatoleslam Gholam-Reza Abazari and the economic affairs expert of the Iranian Consular Office in Soleimaniyeh who were both present in the conference met and conferred on the sidelines of the event.
It was agreed at the end of the cultural even that a conference under the same name will be held next year in Iran’s University of Kurdistan.
