Ukrainian students of Persian language and literature, who some of them have already taken part in the Saadi Foundation’s Persian Language Refresher courses, played an important role in the international exhibition Iran Expo which was held in Ukraine.
“Persian language and literature students of Taras Shevchenko National University and National Linguistic University of Kyiv played an important and active role in the field of translation in the official bilateral talks between Iranian and Ukrainian companies and providing information to Iranian visitors,” Persian language teacher Sousan Jabri who dispatched to the Ukraine said.
The Iran Expo exhibition sponsored by the Organization of Industry, Mining and Trade of Alborz Province and Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ukraine was held September 12-15, 2017 in Kyiv.
During the 4-day exhibition more than 2500 people including an Iranian government delegation from the Islamic Parliament lawmakers and the governors visited the event.
The exhibition was a great opportunity to demonstrate the skills of the Ukrainian students in the field of translation and the scientific ability of Persian learners in Ukraine. The expansion of economic, industrial, and cultural cooperation between the two countries in addition to increasing all-embracing interactions, could create grounds for motivating the ion of Persian as a course of study among Ukrainian youth.
